JUAN MINGUEZ

Juan is a Director at COLLECTIVE. He practices between Hong Kong and Madrid.
Juan is a Registered Architect in Spain, an ARB Registered Architect in the United Kingdom, a Chartered Architect of the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA), and an International Associate member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA). He holds an M. Arch from Harvard University and an M. Arch from Madrid’s ETSAM. A native of Spain, Juan has practiced as an architect in Madrid with Frechilla & López-Peláez Arquitectos before moving to the United States and then Asia; he brings more than 25 years of experiences from the European Union and in Asia on a wide range of projects from Architecture, Master Planning to Interiors.
Juan is currently an Adjunct Associate Professor at the Chinese University of Hong Kong, co-teaching Master Architecture Design Studio with COLLECTIVE Directors Betty Ng and Chi-Yan Chan.
Prior joining COLLECTIVE, Juan has been working in Hong Kong since 2009 as the Project Architect & Project Manager for the new building of Chu Hai College at OMA, and afterwards he joined SO-IL in New York as a Senior Associate working on the construction of the 8000 m2 K11 Art and Cultural Center in Hong Kong.
