COLLECTIVE’s design for the Public Rooftop Garden and Observation Deck at 11 SKIES is making significant progress, with completion anticipated in Q3 2024. Developed by New World Development, 11 SKIES is a retail-entertainment complex adjacent to the Hong Kong International Airport. The rooftop spaces designed by COLLECTIVE include a 3,700-square-meter garden with event space and an 800-square-meter observation deck.
The Rooftop Garden's defining feature is its 5.9-meter-tall curved glass façade, seamlessly blending with the sky, unobstructed by taller buildings.
The event-ready outdoor garden is enclosed by the continuous, curved reflective façade that resembles an inverted building, creating the illusion of an expansive, infinite garden by extending its perceived boundaries.
A custom reflective dot pattern was designed for the glass façade, gradually transitioning from transparency to a mirror effect, creating windows without distinct boundaries.
