COLLECTIVE to Present 83 King Lam Street at AIA
This fabricated landscape, and its curated greenery, is meant to be an intentional extension of the natural green mountainside into the city’s urban fabric.

COLLECTIVE will be participating in the inaugural edition of OPEN HOUSE HONG KONG, where we will present our recent project: 83 King Lam Street. The project features new Grade-A office twin towers in the heart of Lai Chi Kok's historic industrial district, offering a rare and unique multifunctional podium of over 30,000 square feet as a public space. The centerpiece of the podium is a cascading landscape of steps – the ‘feature steps’ – which rhythmically winds its way up and down, left and right, connecting each level of the separated podium. Its parametric surface is expressed as a series of pixelated steps with varying heights, creating a dynamic landscape of stairs, seats, and planters.
The guided tour, led by COLLECTIVE directors alongside Edwin Chan from New World Development and Denis Tsang from Rocco Design Architects, will provide a unique opportunity to explore the project from different architectural perspectives. By bringing together the voices of the architects and the client, the tour will delve into the roles each played in transforming this complex vision into reality. It’s an excellent opportunity to learn about the intricate design process, collaboration, and problem-solving that brought 83 King Lam Street to life.
